2022

Arturo Brena got nominated by Epic Games to attend the UNREAL FELLOWSHIP:STORYTELLING 2022 and this shortfilm was the result of it. 

The entire process was done in a bit over 1 month (5 weeks) from the idea to final delivery. This shortfilm, showcase the power of building stories in real-time.

The story

One thing that I have gotten to convince myself as my life progresses, is that regardless of your efforts of hiding, ignoring or shielding from it, your mirror will eventually make it's way to you. Sooner or later you will have to confront yourself, with all your wounds and fears. Our personalities, as imperfect as they are, are significantly shaped by our ability to assimilate and/or heal from our early wounds. We tend to believe that we are too old to heal or too old to confront those early wounds, but the lightness and satisfaction of after finally confronting them is a pleasure that make it worth even in the eve of your last few breaths.

The film depicts the story of a thief in  medieval times that finds a magic talisman and actives a mirror that shows her, the moment in her childhood that drove her to her current lifestyle..
